Are you or a loved one suffering from an addiction? There is support available at GE. Join the Out of Egypt Support Life Group as we support one another through group sharing and praying.

Power to Parent – Parenting Classes

Children’s Church
Designed for ages 5-12, Children’s Church allows young people to receive God’s Word in a way that is age-appropriate, engaging, and fun! It gives parents the opportunity to worship at the 11:30 service with the peace of mind that their children and safe and learning.

Marriage Enrichment

Men’s Ministry
The Men’s Ministry equips men of all ages to be leaders in their families, the church, and the community. Bible study, small groups, retreats, and events help build the bonds of brotherhood so that men hold each other accountable and they develop into Biblically-grounded leaders who honor God with their lives.

Sunday School
Sunday school partners with what we learn in Sunday Service to teach God’s Word. It gives students of all ages opportunities for discovery, review, and interaction as they study God’s principles. Sunday School equips children, youth, and adults to develop a biblical literacy and to be increasingly able to apply the Gospel to every area of their lives. Classes are available for Pre-School age through Senior Adult.

Sword of the Spirit Bookstore and Library
The bookstore offers a selection of Bibles, Christian books, gifts, and greeting cards for all ages.

Our week-long Vacation Bible School, aka VBS, is a fun way to immerse all ages – Pre-school through Adult – in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Through interactive activities, creative arts, and discussions, groups explore what it means to live every day for Christ.

Women’s Ministry
For women of all ages, the Women’s Ministry meets women where they are and supports them in their walk with Christ. Through women-only worship experiences, prayer, retreats, and social events, we fellowship with the goal of supporting women to mature into who God has called her to be so that her unique gifts can be a blessing to the Kingdom.

Youth Ministry
Open to youth of all ages, the overwhelming aim of Youth Ministry is to see young people grow to find their identity in Christ. We partner with parents and the church community to provide godly influence and spiritual development through engaging, Christ-centered lessons, discussions, trips, conferences, retreats, and activities that speak to young people’s interest in creative, artistic, and athletic expression. While growing to be faithful disciples and leaders, Youth develop an understanding that ministry is service to God and that they are important to the Kingdom.
The Youth Ministry seeks committed, energized, caring adults to help us minister to our children and teens.

The Gift of Singleness Ministry
In 1 Corinthians 7:7 Paul describes singleness as a gift. If you are currently in a season of singleness, do you understand that gift? The Gift of Singleness Ministry is designed to connect, support, educate, and edify today’s Christian singles by addressing current affairs that are relevant to our growth in society and God’s kingdom.

GE Emergency Food Ministry
Our Emergency Food initiative is fueled by the generosity of members and partners of our ministry. Through donations of non-perishable food items and monetary gifts, we are able to bless families and seniors in the community with food and love.

Serve others
Angels of Sunshine Senior Outreach
The Bible tells us that we must honor and encourage our seniors. GE partners with local care centers in Philadelphia to minister to this important group. Through devotions, song, and spending quality time, the Angels of Sunshine provide love and companionship to let seniors know that they have not been forgotten.

Hospitality Ministry
Do you have a gift for making people feel special and appreciated? The Hospitality ministry may be for you! Members of this team have the important opportunity to be one of the first impressions that our church makes with visitors and the congregation. A smile, an enthusiastic greeting, and going the extra mile to help goes a long way in making our guests and members feel like they belong.

Homeless Outreach Ministry
God’s grace and compassion extends to all. The Homeless Outreach Ministry demonstrates God’s love by serving those in need. Care packages that include personal care items, food, and gift cards are assembled and distributed on a monthly basis in various neighborhoods throughout Philadelphia.

Oceans Ministry Outreach
Leaving home for active military duties, education, or career can be a delightful, yet overwhelming experience. The Oceans Ministry is here to encourage and pray for you or your loved one during this time. Through cards, small care packages, recordings of services, and prayer, we minister to individuals and remind them of God’s never-ending love.

Prayer Warriors
Join us as we go outside the four walls of the church to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our community and pray with and for the lost. Outdoor evangelism takes place in March through October.

Prison Ministry
The Bible is clear that God has a heart for those in prison and He calls us to minister to them. The Prison Ministry visits local men’s and women’s prisons to share the hope and love of the Gospel with brothers and sisters who are in one of the darkest moments of their lives. Interested members must complete paperwork and be approved before beginning visits with the ministry.

Ushers Ministry
Ushers provide an inviting and orderly atmosphere to welcome God’s presence. While Ushers have a number of duties during the worship service—including showing attendees to available seating, taking offerings, and serving at special services and funerals—practicing kindness in every interaction with worshippers and expressing God’s love as you serve His people must be a top priority.

Decorating
The Decorating Ministry uses their creativity to beautify areas of our church. This ministry plans and implements decorative themes that support holidays, special occasions, and events.

Media Ministry
The Media Ministry uses video and sound to enhance the worship experience and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. From livestreaming sermons and special services to recording video and audio to be shared online, on the radio, or via DVD and CD, the media ministry plays an essential role in carrying God’s Word to the world. Training is provided to those who are interesting in joining the Media Ministry.

Mime
Using movement, facial expressions, and dramatization with music, the Unspeakable Ministers of Praise Mime ministry brings songs to life in order to minister to hearts and glorify God. The ministry is comprised of members who have a heart to use their gift to usher in the presence of God. Mime is open to children, teens, and adults.

Music Ministry
GE’s Choirs and Musicians minister through song to offer praises and to worship our God; encourage believers in their walk with Christ, and to prepare the congregation to receive the Word of God. Our goal is to glorify God in excellence because He is worthy of our very best!

Praise Dance
The Ministry In Motion Praise Dance Ministry uses formal dance forms, including ballet, modern, jazz, and hip hop, as vehicles for praise and worship to our God and to minister to His people. The goal is not only to nurture members to minister in excellence, but to also develop mature worshipers committed to the Kingdom. Praise Dance is open to children, teens, and young adults.

The Remnant Newsletter Ministry
GE’s newsletter, The Remnant, provides content that will ignite in our readers a hunger for biblical truth, to encourage the saints to search for the principles found in the word of God, and to incorporate Godly principles into their lifestyle on a daily basis. Topics are presented through writing and artwork with a focus on issues that impact Christians living in a secular society. Writers, editors, graphic artists, proofreaders, research assistants, and prayer partners – young and seasoned – are welcome additions to this ministry. The Remnant is published four times per year.
